Abstract

The storages of radioactive wastes (RAW), created by the early development of the nuclear industry, are one of the sources of radionuclide entering into the environment. As example, the situation on the real object – regional storage for RAW, built in 50-th years of the last century in the Protva River basing in the North of the Kaluga region is described in this article.

Key words
90Sr, 137Cs, radionuclide migration, protective barriers, radiation load.
