Abstract

This article is devoted to the work carried out under the RGMDR to create a personalized cancer registry for the most polluted areas in four regions of Russia (Bryansk, Kaluga, Tula and Oryol) as an integral part of the general system of radiation-epidemiological registration. The main scientific question that will be answered by the creation of a cancer registry determines the contribution of the radiation factor to the growth of cancer morbidity and mortality in radio-contaminated territories. In practical terms, with the commissioning of the cancer registry, oncologists will receive an effective tool for assessing the oncological situation in the territory served by them. With the help of software and mathematical software, the cancer registry in real time can be carried out by specialists of oncologic dispensaries directly at the computer: analysis of the prevalence of tumors among the general population and certain groups; comparison of the frequencies of tumors of various types and locations; identification of geographical, gender, age, occupational and other features of the incidence of malignant neoplasms; predicting the dynamics of cancer morbidity and mortality; evaluation of the effectiveness of the anticancer system. The created system also has the ability to support the issuance of all necessary reporting documentation of the oncologic dispensary, for example, forms No. 7 and 35 of the state statistical reporting.
